Hoosier fans celebrate Duke upset

BLOOMINGTON, IN — Hundreds of Indiana University students flooded the streets to celebrate the Hoosiers' upset of defending NCAA champion Duke 74-73 Thursday night.

Braving freezing temperatures, Indiana fans poured out of bars, fraternity houses, dorms and off-campus apartments, spraying beer and chanting, ``Let's go Hoosiers!'' and ``I-U!''

``In 49 states, this is a game,'' said Bloomington resident Ian Sheeler. ``In Indiana, this is a way of life.''

Indiana's victory put it in the NCAA tournament's final eight for the first time since Bob Knight took the team there in 1993.
