Jenkins burns Limestone

Paced by Darrell Jenkins'
17 points and 10 assists and John Fields' 13 points and 7 rebounds, East
Carolina dispatched of Division II Limestone 80-54 Tuesday night in
Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.
Twelve of Jenkins' points
came on four of five shooting from three-point range, with all four of
the converted treys coming in the first half as the Pirates (3-1) raced
to a 43-24 margin at the break.
As a team, East Carolina
shot 45.2 percent from the floor for the game, including 46.7 percent
from 3-point range, while holding the Saints to 28.6 percent from the
field and 28 percent from behind the arc.
Courtney Captain had 11
points and Gabe Blair added 10 for ECU, which improved to 3-1 heading
into a home game at 3:30 p.m. Sunday against N.C. Central.
Terrell Smith scored 15
points, Shawn Poppie recorded 12 points and 6 assists and John Prioleau
grabbed 9 rebounds for Limestone.
