NAIA member Lee University
overcame an 8-point deficit over the final 7:44, capped off by a layup
by senior Ricky Harp in the final seconds to stun East Carolina 77-75
Saturday night in Greenville.
Senior Brad Harris led the
Flames with a game-high 21 points, 15 of which came on three-pointers,
followed by junior Freddie Williams with 18 points.
Freshman Jamar Abrams
scored 18 points, sophomore Brandon Evans added 15 points and junior Sam
Hinnant contributed 14 points for the Pirates.
Lee, one of the nation's
top NAIA teams, improved to 10-0, while ECU fell to 4-7.
East Carolina will host
Coastal Carolina on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
