Versatile Beddingfield QB chooses East Carolina

| East Carolina has
received its sixth known commitment for the recruiting class of 2003
from quarterback Pierre Parker of Wilson Beddingfield, a 6-foot-2,
190-pounder with passing skills and mobility reminiscent of former ECU
signal caller Marcus Crandell. Parker threw for over 2,200 yards last
season as a junior and added over 500 yards rushing. He attended a
workout at ECU on Monday and subsequently agreed to accept a football
scholarship from the Pirates. The NCAA's official signing date for
next year's recruits is in February. |
