WITN-TV to televise two C-USA games from
Harrington Field
GREENVILLE — Two games during a pair of key Conference USA baseball
series featuring East Carolina will be televised locally in eastern
North Carolina by WITN-TV in April.
WITN, the official station of the Pirates, will carry the Pirates'
game against nationally ranked Houston on Sunday, April 7, starting at
12 noon at ECU's Harrington Field, and will also televise the South
Florida at ECU game on Saturday, April 20, with an 8 p.m. airtime.
Jeff Charles, the "Voice of the Pirates," will serve as the
play-by-play announcer with WITN sports director Billy Weaver handling
color analyst duties.
The games' start times have been adjusted from the original schedule
in order to accommodate the broadcast plans.
In addition, one other baseball game time change has been announced
by ECU officials. The Pirates' May 4 meeting with Saint Louis has been
revised from a night game to a 2 p.m. start to avoid conflict with that
evening's Pirate Club Auction.
