GREENVILLE — The 8th Annual Meet the Pirates Night, East Carolina's
preseason football fanfest, has been set for Saturday, August 10 at
Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
Pirate football fans are invited to bring the whole family for a catered
meal and get to know the 2002 ECU football team. Players and coaches will be
seated among fans in a relaxed dinner setting.
The event will be held under the south (press box) side of Dowdy-Ficklen
Stadium. The function has been held under the north side of the stadium in
recent years but has been relocated to the south side for 2002 due to
ongoing renovations.
Entrance at Gate 2 will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner starting at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $7.00 per person, which includes a meal ticket.
Advance reservations are required and seating is limited. Reservations
will be accepted until Friday, August 2, on a first-come, first-served
basis.
Following the dinner, a photo and autograph session with the ECU football
team is scheduled on Bagwell Field starting at approximately 8 p.m. Football
posters and schedule cards will be given away and officially licensed ECU
souvenirs will be available at special promotional pricing. There is no
admission charge for this portion of the evening. Fans attending the photo
and autograph session must also enter the stadium through Gate 2.
