GREENVILLE — East Carolina placed 136 members of its athletic teams on the Commissioner's Honor Roll during the 2001-02 academic year, Conference USA commissioner Mike Slive announced Thursday.

Student athletes named to the list maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better and participate in a conference-sponsored sport.

ECU's football team had 15 players to earn the honor while its baseball and softball teams each placed 14 players on the list. The women's swimming team had 12 members on the honor roll, followed by women's cross country with 11 and men's soccer with 10.
