You can hear it a little in his Oklahoma drawl. Richard Moton has a quiet confidence. Perhaps it is a byproduct of life in the Midwest or maybe it is just that he knows what is expected of him and that he can deliver it...

Moton knows he is stepping up in competition and he knows that at 6-4, with 4.5 speed, he will be expected to come right in and have an impact. He also knows that the microscope is clearly focused on East Carolina's defensive backfield, an area that was a glaring weakness last year.

“They want me to get on the field and play right away and I understand that,” Moton said. “So, I hope to get out there and make things happen.”

At Northeast Oklahoma A&M, Moton certainly got the job done, consistently.
