ECU Baseball | Pirates clinch series behind Lucroy, Mabry [Ba-042013]

Starter David Lucroy parceled out four hits and a run over 6 1/3 innings and Brett Mabry hurled 2 2/3 innings of shutout relief to help East Carolina capture a 4-1 Conference USA victory over UAB Saturday afternoon at Young Memorial Field.

Bryan Bass banged out three of ECU's six hits, scored two runs and had a run batted in. Drew Reynolds added two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

The win clinched the series for the Pirates. ECU clipped the Blazers 5-4 in Friday night's opener. The teams will conclude their three-game weekend set on Sunday at 2 p.m.
