James B. 'Jim' Mallory passed away recently in Greenville at the age of 82.  Few individuals have directly influenced the lives of as many East Carolina students and citizens of the region as did this Man for All Seasons - in his roles as coach, Dean of Men,  professor and TV personality.  He is pictured above (back row, middle) with his 1961 Pirate baseball team, which won the NAIA national championship.  (Photo from ECU's Joyner Library Online Archives)
