Junior third baseman Ryan LaGrange had four hits and three RBIs to help UNC-Wilmington maintain the advantage from start to finish in a 7-2 victory over East Carolina Tuesday night at Clark-LeClair Stadium.

LaGrange's two-run double in his first appearance at the plate capped off a three-run first inning that produced all the scoring the Seahawks needed to claim their first series sweep of ECU since 2003. UNCW routed the Pirates 10-3 on March 19 in Wilmington.

Story continues after the following picture.

Junior righthander Ricky Holden (4-1) hurled 4 2/3 innings of scoreless relief and picked up the win. Holden gave up only two hits during his stint.

Freshman southpaw starter Nick Durazo (0-4) surrendered three runs on two hits and three walks over three innings and absorbed the loss.

Junior shortstop Jack Reinheimer had three hits for ECU.

The Pirates will venture back into Conference USA action this weekend, beginning a three-game road series with a Friday night contest (7:30 p.m.) against UAB.
