PLAYERS OF THE WEEK*
OFFENSE: ECU junior quarterback Shane Carden earned the offensive award for the fourth time this season and the seventh time in his career after rushing for a pair of touchdowns and completing 23-of-30 passes for 255 yards and three TDs without an interception in a win at N.C. State. Carden shared the honor with UTSA senior quarterback Eric Soza, who ran for 2 TDs and completed 30-of-49 passes for 274 yards in a triumph at North Texas.
DEFENSE: Tulsa senior linebacker Shawn Jackson was recognized for his defensive play after recording 10 tackles, 3 sacks and an interception that set up a touchdown in a victory at Louisiana Tech.
SPECIAL TEAMS: Tulane senior kicker Cairo Santos received the special teams award after scoring 9 points on a field goal and 6 PAT kicks and booting 6 kickoffs into the end zone for touchbacks in a triumph over UTEP.
