Senior wing K.C. Rivers had 18 points and sophomore guard Jerai Grant came off the bench to add 14 as No. 20 Clemson improved to 14-0 with a 79-66 victory over East Carolina Saturday evening in Littlejohn Coliseum.

The loss marked the Pirates' third in three tries against Atlantic Coast Conference foes in a little more than two weeks. N.C. State defeated East Carolina 87-76 in Raleigh on Dec. 17 and then-6th-ranked Wake Forest ripped the Pirates 95-54 in Greenville on Dec. 22.

Senior guard James Legan scored a game-high 21 points, sophomore forward Jamar Abrams had 13 and sophomore guard Brock Young contributed 11 points and a game-high 10 assists for East Carolina (8-5). ECU sophomore center Chad Wynn recorded 8 points and led all rebounders with 12.

Junior forward Trevor Booker added 13 points and 9 boards and sophomore guard Terrence Oglesby scored 10 points for the Tigers.

Clemson led at the half 41-35.

The game completed the Pirates' non-conference slate. East Carolina hosts Tulane on Wednesday at 7 p.m. to launch a 16-game Conference USA schedule.
