showdown set for TV

From C-USA Reports

Today's championship game of the 2002 Conference USA Baseball Tournament will be televised live on affiliates of the Conference USA Television Network.

The clash pairs regulars season champion and No. 1 seed Houston against No. 6 seed East Carolina, both of which have won three contests in the tourney without a defeat.

First pitch at Grainger Stadium in Kinston, NC, is slated for 2:00 p.m. EDT.

Don Russell, who has handled play-by-play for numerous C-USA television events over the past seven years, will be joined in the booth by analyst Jerry Kindall, former head coach at the University of Arizona.
