'Ride with The Voice' fundraiser set for June

The third annual "Ride With The Voice" motorcycle excursion benefiting the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf will be held this year on June 10, according to a release at ecupirates.com.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. at J&E Harley Davidson in Greenville with the ride commencing at 10 a.m. The ride, a pet project of East Carolina play-by-play announcer and Director of Electronic Media Jeff Charles, will conclude at approximately 11:30 a.m. at Ron Ayer Motorsports. The cost of the ride is $10 per motorcycle.

All riders will received complimentary breakfast from Krispy Kreme and lunch provided by Domino's and Logan's Roadhouse. The first 200 riders will each receive official "Ride With The Voice" t-shirts.

Over the past two years, 200 motorcyclists have joined Charles, ECU's longtime broadcast voice, in support of the athletic programs at the Wilson school. The Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf is one of only two deaf schools in the state of North Carolina and serves the entire region of eastern North Carolina.

All interested patrons should contact Ron Ayer Motorsports at 758-3084 for more information.
